aving already travelled to Japan and Mexico, we were hungry for our next adventure. We briefly talked about how fun it would be to drive an RV throughout the US, but there were some obvious challenges. What would it be like trying to drive such a big vehicle? And how would we organize parking at all the national parks? Definitely not as convenient of a trip as flying to an all-inclusive destination and parking your butt on the beach. So we put the idea on the back burner.
We were at a family Christmas party in Ottawa, whimsically talking about the idea, when Emilie’s uncle chimed in saying that he actually owned an RV and that he would love let us use it free of charge. That was the moment we knew the challenges of driving and planning would be worth overcoming.
We ended up flying to San Francisco, staying with Ben and family while we explored the city and the surrounding area. After getting our feet grounded, we headed out on a two week adventure, which included Yosemite National Park, June Lake, Death Valley, Bad-water Basin, Zion National Park, Monument Valley, The Grand Canyon, Joshua Tree, Los Angeles, and back again to San Francisco.
